This is where our health all starts. Having sex just once a week has been linked with increased levels of an antibody called immunoglobin A. Research also suggests that men who ejaculate five or more times a week, have a lower risk of prostate cancer. There has also been a link between increased frequency of sex in women and a lower risk of breast cancer.

Continue this pace, and by having sex three times a week for a year, you could burn off the equivalent of 5lbs a year. Not bad!
While some think that the increased heart rate during sex can cause heart attacks in older men, it has been shown that the likelihood of this is incredibly rare. Having sex is actually heath healthy. For men in particular, those who engage in sexual activity two or more times per week reduce their risk of heart attack by a large margin, compared to those who have sex less than once per month.
The increased levels of oxytocin will also decrease the narrowing of blood vessels in reaction to stress, and in turn decreasing blood pressure and the risk of stroke that can be caused by high blood pressure.

The reduced stress levels that come with maintaining a regular and healthy sex life, will unquestionably give way to better sleep. That amazing horomone release of oxytocin during orgasm is very important for the quality and quantity of our sleep patterns. We don’t need scientists to tell us that following an intense orgasm, our bodies just naturally feel at ease, making it easier to fall asleep.
It is certainly no secret that maintaining a good sleep pattern has been linked with a plethora of life altering health benefits and even maintaining a healthy weight. More sex = Better sleep = Happier you = More sex. It’s a delicious cycle of awesomeness.
