Have Your Say! Sex Work is Work!

“The Government of Canada is seeking the public’s input on the criminal law’s response to adult prostitution (i.e. the sale and purchase of sexual services from persons 18 years of age or older). This online consultation is open from February 17 to March 17, 2014.”

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time to really have your say, directly to the Government of Canada!

You can anonymously submit your answers to specific adult prostitution related questions in this online form they have set up on the Justice Department website:

http://www.justice.gc.ca/eng/cons/curr-cours/proscons-conspros/index.html#2014–02–17

You can also write it up yourself and submit directly by e-mail to Consultations.Prostitution@justice.gc.ca

Before responding, you should consider reading this article in the Ottawa Citizen about the way the questions are posed in the survey, and hear some input from a local sex-researcher about it.

March 17th is the deadline, so don’t procrastinate. This is important. I encourage all clients, providers and everyone else who has an opinion to have your say! Sex workers rights are human rights! Sex work is work!
